Matt Lloyd is a mathematician and programmer by trade and seeks to improve his artistic ability. The drawings on these pages are drawn for
pleasure and as a learning exercise to improve his skills. In July of 2016 Matt started attending an art class with the intent of beginning
to learn to draw and paint. Since then he has drawn an average of 1 to 2 pictures every day for practice purposes.
"I enjoy being creative. In my spare time over the years I have kept a private blog, written computer games and coded apps and at the moment
much of my time is spent drawing pictures when I'm not at work - or even in my lunch break at times. I don't really have a well defined purpose in
mind when it comes to my painting and drawing other than to do so to improve and because I enjoy it. In my inner heart I would love to one day produce
something of sufficient quality to display publicly. Whether that be an app, a game, a piece of art or a written document - my heart's desire is to one
day produce something that other people may enjoy and consume. To my mind art and creativity has a purpose which is to be consumed. It is not good for
art to sit on a shelf and never be seen or enjoyed. Instead it needs to shine forth and be visible to those who appreciate it. I know that I am a long way
from reaching a level of quality that could be considered worth appreciating and I also know that the creative world is a crowded market place. Finding a niche
is difficult and finding an audience even harder. I would love one day to have an exhibition."
